Great lunch specials. Service is sometimes a little slow but made up for by the friendliness of the staff. Salads are always very fresh. Their toum (garlic sauce) is the best around IMO. Cheese pies are amazing, even better than New Yasmeen Bakery. Lately I find myself choosing Beruit By Night over La Pita nearly every time I'm in the area and craving Middle Eastern cuisine.

Love the food. Good people. Great service. Ask for Walleed when you go in. Try the deboned chicken when going. Great dinner plate

Food is great but what really blew me away was the service! Ask for Moe when you come in because this guy made me and my group feel like we were in a 5 star restaraunt. My personal favorites here are the tomato kibbee, lentil soup and deboned chicken!

I've had my fair share of middle eastern food over the years. The food is decent. Gave it two stars because of the service. Just overall poor service. We were served room temperature coffee, had to pour or own waters, and just not paid much attention to.

Well, we decided to give Beirut By Night a try today for lunch. A few other local Middle Eastern restaurants having been coming up short as of late, so we wanted to try something new. We pulled into the parking lot right at 11am, and thought for a moment it was closed, but noticed a few cars parked in the back. We walked in and were seated immediately, and the waitress took our drink orders. At first glance, the restaurant looked clean, but looking down on the floor, pieces of salad and bread were on the floor from the previous night (at least we hope)... The table and seats were clean, so we just let it slide. LOL We ordered a medium hommous, and chicken shawarma pita sandwiches. The bread came out room temperature, and although ok, seemed heavy compared to the other M.E. establishments in the area. It appeared to be the warm pillow bread everybody loves, but was not the fluffy light pillow, but more of a heavy, memory foam type pillow bread. LOL It didn't have much flavor at all, but the hommous did and it was quite good and tasty. Both of us agreed, the Chicken Shawarma Pita sandwiches were the hottest we have ever ate. They came right off the grill and was still smoking when you took a bite out of it. LOL They were hot, fresh and delicious... In closing, although it was a good experience, the memory foam pillow bread has made me want to take an afternoon nap...

This place deserves 2 star for its services and 5 stars for its food. There is only 1 or 2 waitresses in the entire restaurant and they're not nice. The place was empty and she still managed to ignore our table for 20 minutes until my friend got up and told her me and her had been waiting for service. As for the food, it's very good, it's fresh and well presented. The prices are good and worth the large portions they give you.

I have been here with my family for Iftar last night. The food was good in general even though not the best I have ever had in Dearborn. The restaurant is clean and neat but little noisy for me. I enjoyed the buffet during the Iftar. However I tend to eat slowly and was the last one to finish my meal. My sister and I had not done yet when the waitress came and start to clear off the table. She did not even ask if we're done with the dishes or need more water which was really rude and extremely awkward. The other two guys who checked on us were very nice but it seems service is not consistent. We not from the area so whenever we come to Dearborn we get many weird looks which can be very annoying at times.

This place used to be great. First time there the food was wonderful and the service was great. This time, I decided to bring my family in for a celebratory meal and from the moment we walked in the service was appalling. It was as if they did not want us there. She was NOT nice and she was on her phone the WHOLE TIME. We had to ask for EVERYTHING, our server obviously didn't want to be there. I had to get up 3 different times to ask for things. Then the food all came at different times, my husband ended up eating by himself because we were done eating our food. The bill was pretty high but although we were highly disappointed and disatisfied we paid and left. Later on I just didn't think it was right for them to treat us the way they did so I called back to speak to a manager and I ended having their manager MIKE argue with me that I should have talked to him however HE'S the manager and last time I checked management usually comes to the tables to speak to the customers. Well long story short, I asked MIKE when will the owner be in his restaurant so I talk to him and he REFUSED to tell me. He was upset that we didn't tip his server which she did NOT deserve a tip whatsoever with the type of service she provided. Now, I will be contacting BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU because a restaurant like this needs to be reported. To say that their service was appalling is an understatement.

It's an average place. Food is ok. Service is ok. Decor is ok. They get food up pretty quick. Lady at cashier was nice enough. It's a large restaurant. Average place and pretty affordable. Try it out if you are in the neighborhood.

OMG what happened Beirut by Night? Last time I gave you 5 stars. This time you are just okay, but I don't even know if you deserve 3 stars! I ordered the Ultimate Chicken Plate for 2 people to go and when I got it home, eh -- the Chicken Kafta was spicy like it had Jalepeno peppers in it. It was also a little mushy, like there was a lot of fat or skin in it - yuch, or it was just plain bad, bad, bad. The Chicken Schwarma tasted a little old as well. Rice was delicious and the kabobs were good. But, you really need to find your high standards again! Fire the cook, if that is the case - you really don't want people to get sick at your restaurant, do you?

Beirut by Night is a beautiful restaurant with quality food but the service is terrible! & quite frankly, you can find better middle eastern food at Al-Ameer. Their chicken galabba (sp?) was DELICIOUS yet the taste was only ruined by the poor service. Food and drinks took ages & much of my food sat as I waited for requested accompaniments that are status quo at other Middle Eastern restaurants. Additionally, a smaller room is reserved for hookah smokers (didn't know that was part of restaurant otherwise, I would have avoided bringing my 1 year old!). The smoke wafted into our empty drinks and overly cluttered, never cleaned off table. Lastly, I strongly believe the cook smoked cigarettes as he cooked because the food itself smelled and tasted of cigarette smoke somehow.... Overall a horrible meal not made better by a fancy facade....

Delicious! High quality fatoosh everything is fresh lettuce light dressing & really well grilled chicken. The lentil soup was good but thin- which is ok. The bread was hot & garlic scrumptious!! I won't give it 5 stars because the service was really slow.
(4)Jane B.
Poor service and dry meat. The seats, floor and table were sticky. The waitress saw we were done and brought one box for us to pack left overs (you could tell we had lots of food to pack). Maybe it was just an off day for our waitress. I just hate waiting a long time for soda refills while watching the waitress chat and eat behind the counter.

This place is great. The prices are good, the menu expansive and featuring many omnivorous and herbivorous meal options, and the freshly baked bread is (as should always be the case of Middle Eastern restaurants) simply decadent. The Baba Ganoush is excellent, as well as the Veg Grape Leaves, Mjaddera, and the salads. I've been told the Garlic Sauce is wonderful (not vegan so I haven't tried it) and a number of the Chicken Dinners are apparently very delicious (again, I've obviously not had them personally). Inside is quite spacious and seems visually formal but the atmosphere is nonetheless quite relaxed. The lunch specials are very reasonable but the dinners are also well worth the price, considering the generous portions. All in all, the prices are comparable if not slightly better than La Pita (in the heart of West Downtown Dearborn), and the menu offers greater variety for sure. I'd highly recommend a visit, even if just to broaden your horizons.

We mostly do carry out here because the service is spotty, to say the least. Long waits with an indifferent staff. However, we do like the food quite a bit. The tomato kibbie and the hummus are top notch. The deboned chicken and lentil soup are both excellent, too. Worth a try, for sure.
(3)Christopher G.
Awful. Utterly awful. Went here with a group for a nice evening. The server was friendly and the hummus was very good which is where it stopped. We ordered the large platter that serves 5 and most of it was inedible. It was over-cooked and burnt. The falafel was rock hard and the meat was shoe-leather tough. The grape leaves were filled with a gross mushy substance. When we asked for the manager he initially tried to argue with us until we showed him the results of his kitchen. He was then only somewhat understanding. Dearborn has some of the best Middle Eastern cuisine in the country so there is absolutely no excuse for this level of incompetence as the competition is too fierce. We will not be back.
(1)Steve K.
Great food. Very reasonably priced. I recommend the shish kafta and shish tawook sandwiches. The fattoush salad is also very good.
(4)Andrew C.
The food here is amazing. I would go so far as to say it's better than La Shish was, in it's heyday. My lady and I got the Beirut by Night platter. The shish kabob, shish tawook, and chicken shwarma were *phenomenal*. Grape leaves were great, hummus was awesome (with a wee bit of olive oil drizzled on top), and the lamb shwarma was tasty, if a wee bit dry. If not for the armada of screaming kids at the next table, it would've been perfect!!! Just kidding!!! The kids weren't all that loud...

I've gotten sick one too many times eating here, and the only reason I kept going back was because the location is the closest restaurant to me. Biggest mistake, the place is always dead, it picks up a bit around lunch but for the most part you don't see much traffic there, and for good reason.

Love love love this restaurant. It is my absolute favorite arabic restuarant in the Dearborn/Dearborn Heights area (my fav used to be LaPita but haven't eaten there in over a year since I found this place). Their Super Shwarma sandwich is great as well as their tomatoe kibbee...my personal favs. Although I've never had anything here that I disliked. Their filet mignon is good (the gravy on it is very salty, which I love, just to fore warn you). Other regulars on my list here: hommous, fattoush, the family meals are all good, and even the spaghetti my non-arabic food eating friend ordered :) Can't go wrong here.

I saw the great yelp reviews on this place so i decided to check it out. I should have known better, Dearborn is the mecca of arab food in the midwest not dearborn heights. I order the sauteed chicken with hummus, and forty minutes later I got my food. Its not like the place was busy on a weekday night. Aside from that, 3 other people came in ordered their food to go and got their food before me. When I asked the man upfront about this he kept on making different excuses but he knew he messed up. I would have forgave them if the food was fabulous. When I got home and started munching down, I had to spit it out. THe chicken had no flavor and was chewy. I ended up eating the hummus on the side with my bread. I wasted 11 bucks on uncooked chicken sauteed. Definitely not coming here again! I This restaurant actually inspired me to write my first review. So I guess beirut by night did one thing right...

I went here for dinner when I was in Dearborn and was not dissapointed. The service was very professional and sweet. The ambiance was great. The gallaba was really good and the rice pudding, as someone mentioned previously, was really exceptional. Thanks to yelp for the great recommendation.
(4)Sam S.
too expensive for the quality of food they serve. Well over priced and not generous in their offerings. I had to ask them for every item before they bring it ( garlic, pita bread, etc) and they bring in very small portions. very stingy and way over priced. probably will never go there anymore.

The best Middle Eastern Cuisine I have had and have been to many places in Metro Detroit. I had the chicken shish tawook lunch special which came with awesome crushed lentil soup, fresh moist pita bread that was piping hot. Rice was 2 different types....both great. The side of garlic was perfect....not overpowering. The presentation was beautiful as they garnished it and even cut the sandwich in half. Chicken was moist and flavorful. The pickles had a fresh, nice taste and crunch. Loved the craft of water so I didn't have to ask for refills. I will be craving this place as I live far away but will definitely find reasons to come back. I left the place happy, full and the pricing is cheap.
(5)Ahmad A.
Not good at all. Way too many middle eastern restaurants in the area to go here. Try out habibs on michigan ave. trust me youre better off at mcdonalds.
(1)Shelly M.
Best Shish Tawook Sandwich I ever ate! Totally addicted to them. I crave them about once a week. First time I went there was in July of this year even though I live very close. Not sure what I was waiting for, the food is great! Service could use a little help, depends on what waitress you get, but for good gallaba I don't care. If you order it, get garlic sauce with it, it is great to mix in. Hummus is fabulous, bread is warm and yummy. Don't know why anyone would go to La Pita where the ingredients are such low quality.
(5)Kristin B.
Food is really good but the service is horrendous. If they can get that worked out, this place would be great!
(3)Julie J.
I love this place! Used to go here when it was Stefan's and I have to tell you, you wouldn't recognize the place. Nice decor, comfortable seating. Juice bar is fabulous and well-priced. Wonderful hummus (seasoned just right) and garlic spread, too, which come with fresh HOT bread. Yum! I usually order the Falafel sandwich which is great and not over done. Husband orders the super chicken schwarma which he absolutely loves. The rice pudding is out of this world, too. They are much better priced than the competition in Dearborn and I think the food is as good if not better. Don't miss it!
(5)C F.
Very good food. We come here whenever we visit family in the Detroit suburbs. We ordered the kebab sandwich, falafel/hummous sandwich, rice, hummous, and tabbouleh. Well priced and good quality.

Love this place. Go all the time for lunch - coworker and I usually order a large Lebanese salad with grilled chicken, dressing on the side; and then we split it. It is fresh, tasty, and HUGE. A relatively healthy - and inexpensive - lunch when split. Their lunch sandwich specials are fantastic and a great deal. I believe they come with both rice and salad, which is fantastic because I can never choose. Both are good here. Their salad dressing is better than Ollie's and about on-par with La Pita. The bread is warm and tasty. Portions are very generous. Service (dine-in) can be inconsistent. Sometimes your server is super attentive; sometimes he/she is not. I order to-go items regularly and while they were fantastic for a while, lately attention to detail has slipped slightly. I've had them forgot to give me the salad dressing sometimes, the (delish!) garlic sauce other times. Still, I really do like this place. I've come for dinner before and found it completely deserted. I don't know why, could've been an "off" day or something, but it made for a very quiet (and somewhat odd) dining experience. The location is great; hassle-free and easy to get to.
(4)Andrew W.
Definitely the best part is the huge portions and plentiful extras. It's also a good place to meet people--you can't miss it from the road, and there's lots of space. They have all the standard Lebanese dishes, and they do them all quite well. The service here is a little spotty; not all the servers are very attentive, and sometimes you have to work a little extra to flag them down.
(4)Sam F.
Good food good service i really like the place

Purchased a Groupon to try this place out. We went there after lunch and the place was nearly empty. We ordered off the dinner menu. We presented the Groupon when the check came. We asked our waiter to check with the manager as we were unaware that there was a fine print requirement: the Groupon could only be used after 3 p.m. The manager would not accept the Groupon although 3 p.m. was looming in the not so distant future. Rules are rules. I should have read the fine print. We liked the food...did not like the attitude. We won't be back.
(2)Zeke A.
Love Mediterranean cuisine! Maybe better than La Pita (Dearborn) which seems to be the "standard". Prices are very competitive & it's a casual, mellow, spacious atmosphere. I've always come here in the evenings and it's a relaxed environment - never "overly crowded". The portions are generous, tasty & authentic. Seats, tables & restrooms are clean. Service is great & personable. Their bread is Ahhhmazing!! :) I live out of town most of the year but whenever I get back, I'm sure to visit as often as I can. Happy eating!
(4)Lisa M.
It's a hookah place, meaning our late dinner was surrounded by booths of people smoking hookahs. Gag. Made the food taste wrong and the experience extremely unpleasant.

We have been going to Beirut by Night for over 7 years- through the renovations and each and every time the food is always outstanding! My friend and I are very health conscious and the chefs there prepare the foul and tabouli without any oil or salt. We could eat there every single day! We always get food to go for the following day, but it never lasts til then! We've tried other similar restaurants but none of them even come close to this one, so we don't go anywhere else anymore. The wait staff is friendly pand the prices are fair. Outstanding and guaranteed to be delicious every single time! What more could a restaurant goer want?! My mouth is watering just thinking of the tangy, hearty and warm foul paired with the light and lemony tabouli. The honeymooner is a great juice and the pita bread is always hot and fresh! Can't wait to go back. Wish there was one closer to where I live! Thank you brother chefs extraordinaire!
(5)Octavio C.
Came for lunch and ordered the meat shwarma plate. The price was good (below $10) It came with choice is side salad or soup and choice of fries or rice. The portion serving was generous and filling. The staff was friendly and provided good service. I would recommend this place to someone!
(3)Tania S.
great place we found on our way from a mall in westland Michigan. Clean and neat with a nice layout. we had the chicken gallaba and shawarma fattoush and lentil soup. everything tasted delicious. the home made pita bread is hot and made right in the restaurant. the only thing the waitress was new and didnt know much about the food but luckily we had a middleastern lady in the group that knew everything..highly recommended
(5)Tommy R.
I've only ever had the Vegetarian Combo, but I've had it multiple times. Definitely enough food for 3-4 people, and very good. Service when dining in is pretty good. Carryout is ready in 20 minutes. I have had more variety at La Pita, which I tend to like better, but BbN is quick, close, and tasty.
(4)S B.
Note: this rating is only based on one item - the crushed lentil soup. It was amazing. Loved it! Been looking for the soup since the original LaShish closed. I had to try it, despite the 20 minute drive. A fellow Yelper wrote that Beirut By Night's lentil soup was "the best", in her review about the new LaShish. I totally agree - the lentil soup is the best. My biggest regret is that I didn't get a quart size :-(. So I am a fan of the lentil soup. Since i got takeout, I cannot rate the sit down service. The place looks clean, its nicely decorated, open and airy, and the lady who took my order was kind. I will be back for my lentil soup!
(5)Shelly S.
The hummus is to die for, and the babaganoush is one of the best I've ever tried. They also have great fresh baked pitas. Sish tawook is one of my favorites. They also have those red beet pickles, so delicious, I always end up getting extra. The restaurant is nice and clean, the staff is always friendly. It is a great place, I would highly recommend it.
